Pear Tree Farm

Summer has come in Seeds grow and meadows bloom/ and the woods spring anew.

It's well and truly summer time; lots of lying about in the garden with a good book and a glass or three of wine - well water for us actually - with ice!

We've made lots of new friends this year and I even had a visit from a Canadian fan of mine - lovely to meet you Julie and I hope all the pics came out OK.

It's certainly going to be a good year for the roses and also for plums and berries. I think there might be a few summer puddings this year ... but I bet I won't be allowed any.

For my very concerned fans ... I'm afraid my arthritis is slowing me down quite a lot, but I'm still having fun, I just have to let Mol chase the ball. and bring it to me. But I do miss my sausages - totally off the menu now.

So long walks are not for me any more - but you can do them, we can tell you all the best places to go and will be there in spirit.
If you are really feeling fit, you can do the Wigmore Loop - all 10 miles of it - you'll certainly be ready for your dinner when you come back.

For the less energetic there is this year’s magnalonga on August 8th foodfestival.co.uk/ magnalonga

But if walking is not your thing then you can always visit some of the glorious gardens or just hang around in the hammocks (literally).

Then there is of course the famous Ludlow food festival in September and the Medieval Fayre in November.

Here's hoping the hot weather continues ... see you soon.
